Pieter (Peter) Dirk Mesker
As a Non-Executive Director of the CYBER1 Group, Peter Mesker brings more than 25 years of international experience in cybersecurity, network infrastructure, and managed security services. Peter is an experienced cybersecurity architect and business leader with a strong track record in designing, scaling, and commercialising security services across European markets, with a particular focus on Detection & Response, cloud security, and integrated security architectures.
Peter currently serves as a Managing Partner and Solutions Architect at Sky Networks, where he supports organisations in strengthening their cybersecurity posture by reducing attack surfaces and maturing detection and response capabilities through a balanced approach across people, processes, andtechnology. He also serves on the board of HWG Sababa, advising on cybersecurity strategy and portfolio development.
Prior to this, Peter spent over a decade at SecureLink (now Orange Cyberdefense), where he was co-founder and Technical Director (CTO Netherlands).During this time, he played a key role in building and scaling one of Europe’s leading managed security service providers, contributing to service innovation, vendor partnerships, and complex enterprise security architectures. Earlier in his career, Peter held senior technical and consulting roles at INISI, Juniper Networks, Fujitsu Services, ICL, and other technology organisations, developing deep expertise in enterprise networking, infrastructure design, and security operations.
With a pragmatic and customer-focused mindset, Peter is passionate about helping organisations adopt adaptive security architectures and navigate the evolving cybersecurity landscape, including cloud, IoT/ICS, and regulatory challenges. He also has a strong interest in developing the next generation of cybersecurity talent and enabling organisations to scale sustainably.
In his role on the CYBER1 Board, Peter contributes strategic guidance across technology direction, service portfolio development, and organisational scaling, supporting the Group’s continued growth and innovation within the global cybersecurity market.
